While the Colby fire did no one any favors, foothill wild life took the brunt of it. In some casesRead Morel oosing their own lives. With restricted natural hunting areas these wild animals will travel to where food is readily available if that happens to be in local residents backyards or neighborhood streets. It is incumbent up on the human residents to be on a content vigil for their own safety.

I live near South Hills park. Just North of Rte 66. We see Coyotes on a Weekly basis. They comeRead Moredown from South hills park. Most of the times in a pair or more. I have seen them kill and take off with 2 different neighborhood cats. In the past 6 months. That's just what I have actually seen. The city does nothing.

Dear Conni, there is nothing short of posting a sniper to hunt these coyotes, baiting with poisonsRead Morew ill most likely kill more than just a coyote or two.

I agree, they are always there.

Ultimately it is the responsibility of the driver of the car entering the roadway for determiningRead Moreif it is safe to proceed. If he/she could not see around the bus, or any other obstacle for that matter, then why gamble with safety? Wait and make sure. If the bus was in a place that was posted no parking/stopping then it could be a minor contributing part.
Jean Dalton March 27, 2014 at 09:15 AM
I agree with you. I live right near there and it can be difficult to get off my street ontoRead MoreBarranca . But there are "not in service" buses all over Glendora. I think the city reaps some benefit to having Foothill Transit use it's streets as parking lots or training facilities.

Contact City of Glendora and Mayor Judy Nelson and tell her you support a delay in passing this law Read Moreuntil Glendora and foothill City Council,s as well as the citizens of these communities, have a chance to review and understand her proposal as well as make comments. A 9-year study is the basis for Chu's legislation. 9 years! And all of a sudden we need implementation legislation immediately. Really?

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The left side if the political spectrum wants to take Read Moreover every aspect of our lives that they can, this is one more example of their power grab.

I don't find anything good coming from either side of the political spectrum. Our 'politicalRead Morespectru m' has failed us and needs to be rethought.

Did anyone mention there was another Parking Lot sale going on at the Home Depot this weekend,Read Moretakin g up more than 50 parking spaces. So anyone could see that for themselves and this spread the parked vehicles out farther in what's left of the parking lot.

There will be no direct involvement for the US. BHO and Putin sealed a deal on the Ukraine rightRead Moreaft er BHO assumed his second term. Remember that open mic message BHO delivered to Putin in 2012? BHO has been flexing for Putin for months now. Hay ... No worries.

Couldn't agree with you MORE. I used to love all the banter back and forth re Glendora happenings, Read Moreand really enjoyed (gone now) the grocery help, i.e. if you wanted a lot of hamburger... say for a party, you were able to 'just' hit hamburger and it would tell you WHICH local grocery store had it on sale. Loved THAT. As recent as yesterday, 2/28, Patch said there would be NO mail delivery that day, re rain here in Glendora. I live above Village, very close to closures - and an hour after reading that (which said we had to personally go to Post Office to get our mail) the Mailman delivered ??

Our neighbor had a very similar experience with TWC. TWC wanted to do the same digging up the yard, Read Morerunning a cable around his roof overhang, all this to ground the existing cable. The cable was already routed through his garage where there are numerous water pipes that would serve as a good grounding point, but they insisted it had to be at the main power box. Not sure how it was finally resolved. TWC does not charge you for these modifications, but someone is paying. hum? Makes you a little hesitant to call TWC for any problems or upgrades. Wonder if Comcast will impose the same grounding requirement?

That's time warner for you...always trying to get extra I just got new service and received my bill Read Morefor one month $ 658.00 lol no movies, no sports.... I asked for the 79.99 TV offer.,.,,who pays that much for cable....rip off...RM/glendora

If the city would go out for competitive bids on a a cable company - as surrounding areas haveRead Moredone - we may have better, but TWC's contract is re-newed year after year without question, and we are left to deal with inferior service.

At 9:05 P.M. Friday February 21, 2014 a star bursting shell, fire works projectile was launched inRead Moret he Mark W. Davis area of Glendora, California. One was observed with falling hot embers on a already dangerous fire prone area.
