The good-ole-boy system of local government employee loyalty was a unbreakable bond with complete with perks. Materials and labor was furnished free of charge or a contractor for the particular city picked up the tab as a gratuity for landing or extension of a contract with that city. Even gasoline was furnished free of charge etc.

Too many banks, and not enough jobs for people to actually make enough money to need banks!

I haven't seen any announcements concerning the Glendora 4th of July parade that we use to have? Read MoreWh at happened to it? Will there be one this year 2014? If not what happened to it and why?

The last parade that was done was done by the BID. I have not seen any plans on one since 2011.
