Woman Found Dead at Glendora Best Western

No foul play suspected in death of 36-year-old woman at hotel.

A woman was found dead in her hotel room last night, March 4, when her father made the discovery.

The 36-year-old Caucasian woman was found unresponsive in her room around 9:40 p.m. at the Best Western hotel, 625 East Route 66, according to Glendora Police.

Los Angeles County Coroners officials are still trying to determine the cause of death. An initial investigation by the coroners and police indicate that the woman died of natural causes as possibly the result of a pre-existing medical condition, said Lt. Brain Summers of Glendora Police.

Police were unsure if the woman had a permanent address, but her parents are Glendora residents. One of the last individuals to see and speak with her was a male friend, who visited her around 3:45 p.m. The friend left the hotel room after the woman said she wasn't feeling well, Summers said.

No one was able to get in touch with the woman since that time. The father went to see if he could meet her, was allowed entry to the room by a Best Western employee and that is when he found his daughter unresponsive, police said.

Authorities were there a few hours working with the coroner's officials at the scene.

According to police, there is no criminal investigation given the circumstances of the woman's death.
