Witnesses Sought in Azusa Barbershop Shooting

Suspect turned himself in to police following Thursday's shooting.

Police are looking for witnesses to an Azusa shooting that occurred in a strip mall near the Citrus College campus Thursday evening.

One man was injured with a gunshot wound to the arm in the barbershop shooting at 6:19 p.m. at 310 N. Citrus Ave. His injury was not life-threatening and is currently in stable condition, according to Azusa Police.

Suspect Dustin Juan Trujillo, 25 of Covina, peacefully surrendered to police at the police station later that night.

The motive appeared to be personal, said police. Trujillo was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and will be arraigned Monday at a West Covina Superior Court.
