Thirsty Burglary Suspect Found in Glendora Kitchen

A homeowner returned home to find a stranger helping himself to a drink in her kitchen.

Apparently, a suspected burglar can work up a thirst on a hot day.

A Glendora homeowner returned home shortly before noon on Wednesday to find an intruder with a drink in his hand in her kitchen.

The suspect did not see the woman who slipped into a bedroom and called Glendora Police. Officers arrived at the residence in the 1800 block of East Big Dalton Canyon Road and found the suspect walking around in the backyard.

He did not have any stolen items on him other than the drink, said police Lt. Rob Lamborghini. Police arrested Timothy Donahue, 18, of Glendora on suspicion of burglary. He is being held on $50,000 bail in a Glendora jail.

The suspect entered the home through an unlocked door. The homeowner did not know the suspect, Lamborghini said.
