Police Blotter: Recap of Police Calls in Glendora

Activity for the week of April 15 to April 21.

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 15. Lt. Jamie Caldwell & Lt. Joe Ward on duty.

1:04 a.m. - SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Walmart, 1950 E Auto Centre Drive. A man was observed attempting to open cars parked in the Walmart lot. Police arrested Jethro Aquino, 29, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of drugs and receiving known stolen property. Aquino was released for a court appearance.

4:49 a.m. - SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: 2100 block of East Kenoma Street. A report was taken.

2:02 p.m. - GRAND THEFT: 200 block of West Mountain View Avenue.

4:12 p.m. - SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: 1600 block of South Sunflower Avenue. Police arrested Jonathan Castillo, 28, on outstanding drug warrants. Castillo was held without bail.

8:59 p.m. - ASSIST PARAMEDICS: 500 block of North Lorraine Avenue. A 10-year-old boy reportedly passed out during a function at Sellers Elementary School. Medics arrived with police and treated the boy.

Tuesday, April 16. Lt. Jamie Caldwell on and Lt. Joe Ward duty.

8:35 a.m. - VEHICLE BURGLARY: 100 block of North Crescent Glen Drive.

10:22 a.m. - THEFT OCCURRED: 1600 block of East Foothill Blvd.
 
11:19 a.m. - THEFT OCCURRED: CVS, 130 South Grand Avenue. Two women shoplifted from the store and fled westbound on Foothill Blvd. in a white Chevy truck. Police eventually arrested Lauren Williams, 19, on suspicion of burglary, possession of concentrated cannabis and reckless driving. Williams was issued a citation and released.

1 p.m. - VEHICLE BURGLARY: 1200 block of South Wales Avenue.

Wednesday, April 17. Lt. Jamie Caldwell and Lt. Joe Ward on duty.

12:32 p.m. - FRAUD REPORT: 200 block of North Encanto Drive.

2:14 p.m. - GRAND THEFT AUTO REPORT: 500 block of East Route 66.

2:40 p.m. -  THEFT REPORT: 400 block of East Arrow Highway.

5:47 p.m. - ASSIST FIRE: 500 block of East Foothill Blvd.
A shed ignited behind a residence. No one was injured in the fire, which may have been started by a cigarette.

Thursday, April 18. Lt. Rob Lamborghini and Lt. James DeMond on duty.

7:58 a.m. - VANDALISM REPORT: 700 block of West Park View Terrace.

10:41 a.m. - THEFT REPORT 900 block of East Ivy Street.

10:58 a.m. - FRAUD REPORT: 800 block of West Arrow Highway.

12:05 p.m. - TRAFFIC STOP: 200 block of South Vermont Avenue.
Police arrested Tami Nyberg, 33, on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale. Nyberg was issued a citation and released.

6:04 p.m. - ROBBERY IN PROGRESS: 500 block of South Grand Avenue.
Two men armed with knives reportedly robbed the T-Mobile store, 541 South Grand Avenue. The men escaped on foot and out of sight.

Friday, April 19. Lt. Rob Lamborghini and Sgt. Mike Randazzo on duty.

2:36 a.m. - RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: 800 block of West Millburgh Avenue.

7:06 a.m. - VEHICLE BURGLARY INVESTIGATION: 1000 block of East Renwick Road.

7:33 a.m. - VEHICLE BURGLARY INVESTIGATION: 600 block of West Bagnall Street.

8:35 a.m. - SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE: 600 block of West Parkview Terrace.
Police arrested Larry Hernandez, 62, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia. Hernandez was issued a citation and released.

3:24 p.m. - FRAUD REPORT: 1600 block of E Zara Street.

6:35 p.m. - THEFT IN PROGRESS: Stater Bros., 1830 East Route 66.
Police arrested Diane Ruiz, 55, on suspicion of burglary. Ruiz was held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

9:05 p.m. - DISTURBANCE: 100 block of East Duell Street.
A teen girl allegedly hit and bit another girl during an argument. Police arrived and arrested Maxwell Lacy, 20, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Lacy was cited and released.

Saturday, April 20. Lt. Rob Lamborghini and Sgt. Mike Randazzo on duty.

12:06 a.m. - Traffic stop, 600 block of South Barranca Avenue.
Police arrested Kirk Del Castillo, 28, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Del Castillo was cited and released.

4:08 a.m. - SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: 900 block of South Fuscia Avenue.
Police arrested Christan Lopez, 31, on suspicion of loitering on private property. Lopez was issued a citation and released.

11:54 a.m. - ATTEMPT SUICIDE: 300 block of West Arrow Highway.

3:32 p.m. - FRAUD REPORT: Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive.

8:40 p.m. - ASSIST PARAMEDICS: 100 block of North Wabash.
Police were called to Finkbiner Park on a report of two teen boys who were allegedly unconscious near the skate park. Upon arrival, police reported one teen was conscious, while the second boy was unconscious, but breathing. The boys were transported to an area hospital.

Sunday, April 21. Lt. Jamie Caldwell and Lt. James DeMond on duty.

12:53 a.m. - MISSING ADULT: 300 block of East Camden.

1:06 p.m. - ASSIST FIRE: 400 block of West Heber Street.
Police were called to a barbecue fire. The propane tank began emitting flames. Police and fire fighters were unable to extinguish the large tank and allowed it to burn out.

2:09 p.m. - VEHICLE BURGLARY INVESTIGATION: 800 block of South Forestdale Avenue.

8:30 p.m. - PEDESTRIAN CHECK: South Elwood Avenue and Lemon Avenue.
Police arrested Juan Sanchez, 35, on outstanding warrants. Sanchez was held in lieu of $80,000 bail.
