Man Who Robbed Woman at Gunpoint Arrested

His accomplice also arrested in the recent robbery.

Glendora detectives have arrested the man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in the Sam's Club parking lot recently.

Police arrested James Reveles, 28, and his accomplice, Brittany Sloan, 26, both from Ontario. Both were booked on suspicion of robbery. Reveles is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail, Sloan is being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.

The victim was unloading her purchases outside Sam's Club May 5, when the suspect approached her, produced a handgun and demanded her purse, police said.

The woman refused to turn it over and Reveles reportedly ripped the purse from her arm. The suspect fled into a waiting vehicle, but an alert citizen witnessed the crime and wrote down the suspect license plate, said Lieutenant Brian Summers of Glendora Police.

On May 9, Detectives located an Ontario residence where the suspect vehicle was parked near Haven Avenue and Riverside Drive. Detectives witnessed a man matching the description of the suspect exiting an apartment and detained him.

His accomplice was arrested at a nearby apartment complex.

Detectives searched the vehicle and located a handgun and some of the victim's credit cards from a hidden compartment inside, Summers said.

The duo are scheduled to appear at West Covina Courthouse May 10.
