Man in Starbucks Spycam Case Pleads Not Guilty

William Zafra Velasco pleaded not guilty to all 16 counts Tuesday morning, including unlawful surveillance and burglary.

A man arrested by Glendora Police for placing a spycam in a restroom in Glendora pleaded not guilty in a Pomona Superior Courthouse Tuesday morning.

William Zafra Velasco, 25, was arrested May 4 after he confessed to iin Glendora.

Not only had he been charged with unlawful surveillance of 45 women and children, Velasco had also been charged with burglary after Glendora Police found

In light of Velasco's arrest, Glendora Police and Assemblyman Tim Donnelly called a on May 20 to propose stiffer penalties for "peeping tom" crimes. Currenty, it is felony only when the victim is a minor.

Velasco pleaded not guilty to all 16 counts against him during Tuesday’s arraignment. His preliminary hearing is set for August.
