Local Transient Found Dead at Wells Fargo

Passerby made the discovery earlier this morning. The man had only been dead a few hours, police said.

A transient known to the Glendora area by authorities was found dead by a passerby in front of the Wells Fargo bank earlier this morning, according to Glendora Police.

A passerby made the discovery around 8:30 a.m., according Lt. Rob Lamborghini. The 63-year-old man was seen lying face down near the front doors of the , 120 N. Grand Avenue at the Foothill Plaza shopping center.

According to police, the passerby attempted to wake up the man, who did not respond. Glendora Police were called soon after and paramedics arrived to attempt resuscitation, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the man and the cause of death were not given.

According to authorities, the transient had not been there for very long.

"He died there sometime within the previous few hours, he hadn't been there a long time," Lamborghini said.

Police were out investigating the incident for about an hour.
