Wrestling Phenom Nominated for National Award

Cade Olivas, regarded as the top youth wrestler in the country, needs votes to win the Youthee award.

A young wrestler formerly from Glendora, Calif. has been nominated for a youth sports award and needs votes to win the national title.

Cade Olivas has been nominated by Youth1.com for the Wrestler of the Year award, as well as Male Athlete of the Year. The Youthees is the first youth sports awards and is awarded to young athletes and coaches who excel both on and off the fields.

Olivas is a middle school wrestling prodigy regarded by many as the number one youth wrestler in the country. He is a two-time Super 32 Challenge Champion and a seven time Tulsa National Champion. He competes in the 82-pound weight class.

Olivas told Youth1.com, “I do something every day – running distances and sprints and hills and weight training.”

Olivas had lived in Glendora for most of his life, but recently moved to Fontana, according to his father. Voting for the nominees is now open and can be accessed by the following link:
