Bicyclist Suffers Head Trauma in Fall in Glendora

The bicyclist was transported to LA County USC Medical Center.

A bicyclist sustained a head injury after falling off a bicycle on Galatea Street near Barranca Avenue Tuesday evening.

The rider, whose name was not released, was transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for observation, according to Officer Kerri Rivas from the California Highway Patrol.

Rivas said it is still unclear on what caused the accident. The rider’s condition is not yet known, she said.

Glendora Police responded to the initial call at 9:25 p.m., but since the accident occurred in an unincorporated area of Glendora, the case was handed over to CHP, said Glendora Sgt. Matt Williams.

CHP is currently handling the investigation, said Williams.
