DUI Checkpoint Planned in Glendora Friday

Drivers will be asked to show driver's licenses during the sobriety checkpoint.

A driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint is planned Friday evening in an undisclosed location in Glendora.

The , together with the law enforcement agencies of Azusa, Covina, Claremont, La Verne, Irwindale, Pomona, CHP and LAPD are hosting the checkpoint as part the county Avoid the 100 - Los Angeles County (East) DUI Task Force .

The Task Force is dedicated to educating drivers about the consequences of drinking and driving and identifying and removing intoxicated drivers from roadways in an effort to reduce death and injury.

This checkpoint is one of many other DUI activities going on in Los Angeles County this Memorial Day Weekend.
