Closures Coming to 210 Ahead of Bridge Work

Gold Line construction continues as crews work to complete the structure that will carry light rail over the freeway.

Beginning tonight, Monday, July 2, commuters can expect closures to the eastbound Interstate 210 freeway on ramps as well as full lanes closures while construction on the Gold Line Foothill Extension bridge continues.

Lane closures eastbound start at, or about Rosemead Blvd. Eastbound on ramps at Rosemead Blvd., Michillinda Blvd. and Baldwin Avenue will be closed at 9:30 p.m. Partial lane closures of up to three lanes will begin at 11 p.m., officials said. Full lane closures of eastbound lanes will begin at Baldwin Avenue at midnight and end at 5 a.m.

Traffic will be delayed onto Foothill Blvd.

Officials said to expect traffic delays as concrete is poured to build foundations for the bridge's five overhead catenary system poles, which will carry overhead power cables.
