A bomb threat was made on the Citrus College campus Thursday afternoon, resulting in a campus-wide evacuation at around 4 p.m., according to Glendora Police.
At around 2:30 p.m., the college received a phone call identifying a bomb on campus. College staff immediately conducted a sweep of the entire campus and evacuated all the buildings. Everyone was told to move at least 100 feet away from the buildings.
A search through each room on the campus yielded no potential explosive devices, according to Glendora Police.
Classes resumed within an hour of the evacuation.
Police did not have any information on who may have made the bomb threats, although the case is under investigation.

Students should really be informed as to the reasons for such actions. Within the last two months there have been rumors of rape, strong arm robbery and assault on this campus yet students are not made privy to this information.

There have been Citrus Clarion articles online and in print on these issues as well as campus mass emails regarding safety warnings. I think the campus does a great job in keeping students and staff informed.

According to the article, "At around 2:30 p.m., the college received a phone call identifying a bomb on campus." Sadly, it wasn't until 4:05 p.m. did a "Citrus Alert" call go out to staff and students from the PIO officer. The delay is totally unacceptable. Much can happen in that hour and thirty minutes.
